After thoroughly enjoying his Goodwood Revival debut in 2009, Darren Turner is delighted to have been invited back for more historic fun at this year’s event.
Darren was one of the stars of the St Mary’s Trophy race in 2009 when he took Andy Hack’s Mini from fifth on the grid to second place at the flag. This year he is racing Nick Swift’s 1965 Mini Cooper S and looking to go one better.
It will be a busy weekend for Darren as he is joining Lord Drayson in his Aston Martin DB4 GT in the prestigious Royal Automobile Club TT Celebration race. With a grid of GT cars valued collectively at over £100 million it promises to be an incredible event.
“I’m really proud to have been invited back to Goodwood for the Revival meeting,” said Darren. “I’m looking forward to the Mini as I had a lot of fun in Andy Hack’s car in 2009 and I think Nick (Swift) and I will enjoy the St. Mary’s. I’m also very pleased that Paul (Lord Drayson) trusts me enough to let me race his stunning Aston in the TT. I’ve promised to be very careful!”
The Goodwood Revival takes place on 16-18 September.
